Paris is the capital and largest city of France, known as a global center for art, fashion, and culture. Situated on the River Seine, it is famous for landmarks like the Eiffel Tower and the Louvre Museum, and is often called the "City of Light". Beyond its cultural significance, it is also a major hub for finance, diplomacy, and transportation, with an extensive subway system (the Metro) and two international airports. 

Switzerland is a mountainous Central European country, home to numerous lakes, villages and the high peaks of the Alps. Italy, a European country with a long Mediterranean coastline, has left a powerful mark on Western culture and cuisine. Other major cities include Florence, with Renaissance masterpieces such as Michelangelo’s "David" and Brunelleschi's Duomo; Venice, the city of canals; and Milan, Italy’s fashion capital.
